 เชียงคาน เมืองเก่า เมืองแก่ ที่แสนสงบ เดินทางเที่ยวนี้ เมืองไทย.คอม มุ่งหน้าสู่เมืองเลย ขอขอบคุณผู้สนับสนุนรายการทุกท่าน ที่สนับสนุนการเดินทางในครั้งนี้ ทำให้ผมได้นำเรื่องราวดีๆ ระหว่างการเดินทางมาเล่าสู่กันฟังการเดินทางโดยรถยนต์ซึ่งเป็นทางเลือกที่ ประหยัดอีกทางหนึ่งครับ เมื่อเดินทางร่วมกันหลายๆคน หรือเรียกว่าทริปหารเฉลี่ย โดยผมใช้เส้นทาง

กทม. - ลพบุรี - เพชรบูรณ์ - หล่มเก่า - ด่านซ้าย - ภูเรือ -จังหวัดเลย

วันแรก
เดินทางแต่เช้ามาถึง อำเภอด่านซ้าย จังหวัดเลยในช่วงเที่ยง  จึงแวะรับประทานอาหารกลางวัน แวะถ่ายภาพนิดหน่อย ซึ่งที่นี้เป็นเมืองหลวงของผีตาโขนครับ สังเกตุว่าเริ่มเห็นป้ายประชาสัมพันธ์ของเทศกาลงานประเพณีประจำถิ่น ที่น่าสนุกมาก ๆ   และถือได้ว่าผีตาโขนนี้ได้ Go Inter ไปแล้วครับ ฝรั่งมังค่า(ไม่มังคุด) รู้จักกันไปทั่วโลก

กีฬาชนควาย ที่เกาะสมุย จะจัดขึ้นในโอกาสที่มีงานมงคล หรือเทศกาลต่างๆ เช่นตรุษสงกรานต์ และวันขึ้นปีใหม่    ที่เกาะสมุยมีสนามชนควายที่ถูกต้องตามกฏหมายอยู่3-4แห่ง วันนี้ผมมาที่สนามของผู้ใหญ่มูล ที่หมู่บ้านทุ่งเขย่า (แม่น้ำ ซอย7) ซึ่งเป็นคู่สุดท้ายของช่วงฤดูนี้

ในวันนี้เกือบไปไม่ทันครับพอรู้ข่าวว่ามีการชนควายที่นี่ก็รีบขับรถมาทันที ทักทายกับผู้ใหญ่มูลนิดหน่อยก็ต้องรีบเข้าสนาม ตั้งกล้องไม่ทันเลยครับ ชนควายกันพอดี

การชนควายไม่ใช่เรื่องง่ายๆที่จะนำมาชนกันทันที ต้องมีการคัดสันสายพันธุ์ เลี้ยง ล่อ ฝึก ให้มีกำลังและแข็งแรง ถ้าถามว่าเป็นการทรมานสัตว์หรือเปล่า โดยธรรมชาตินั้นมันก็ทำแบบนี้อยู่แล้วครับ และการชนกันในสนามชนควายนั้นก็ไม่ได้ชนกันบ่อยเหมือนชนไก่ หรือมวยไทย

กว่าจะประกบคู่กันได้ใช้เวลานาน และการชนแต่ละครั้งนั้นต้องขออนุญาติทางการให้ถูกกฏหมาย ไม่เช่นนั้นจะกลายเป็นสนามเถื่อนทันที

การเข้าชมผู้ชมต้องเสียเงินค่าผ่านประตูโดยประมาณ300-400บาท ราคาไม่แน่นอนขึ้นอยู่กับค่าต่อรองในสนาม

การชนกันใช้เวลาไม่แน่นอนบางคู่แค่ปะทะแรกก็ตามเลยก็มี บางคู่2-3นาทีรู้ผล บางคู่ชนกันเป็นชั่วโมง

        เรามาที่ท่าเรือดอนสัก เพื่อขึ้นเรือเฟอรี่ข้ามฟากต่อไปยังเกาะสมุยกันตั้งแต่ตี 5 แต่ได้ขึ้นเรือจริงๆ ก็โน้น… 7 โมงเช้า กว่าจะถึงเกาะสมุยก็เกือบๆ 9 โมง เนื่องจากคิวเช้าค่อนข้างจะเต็มเร็ว ด้วยเหตุและผลของชาวสมุยเองด้วย สำหรับพ่อค้าแม่ค้า ที่ต้องไปยังเกาะกันแต่เช้า หากเป็นไปได้ขอแนะนำให้มาจองคิวกันตั้งแต่เนิ่นๆกันค่ะ…
 
       จากท่าเรือเฟอร์รี่ อ.ดอนสัก ใช้ระยะเวลาเดินทางประมาณ 1 ชั่วโมงครึ่ง ด้วยระยะทางประมาณ 35 กิโโลเมตร ระหว่างที่นั่งเรืออยู่นั่นไม่ต้องกลัวหิวนะคะ เพราะบนเรือมีร้านมินิมาร์ท ไว้บริการ ทั้งกาแฟ มาม่า เอาไว้รองท้องกันก่อนได้ค่ะ…
       ทันที ที่เรามาถึงเกาะสมุย เราก็มุ่งหน้าไปกราบไหว้สักการบูชา “หลวงพ่อแดง” ที่ วัดคุณาราม(วัดเขาโป๊ะ) เป็นอันดับแรก เพื่อขอความเป็นสิริมงคล หลวงพ่อแดง ปิยะสีโล (ท่านพระครูสมฤกิตติคุณ ) ซึ่งท่านได้มรณภาพไปแล้วด้วยท่านั่งวิปัสสนากรรมฐาน แต่ร่างกายท่านไม่เน่าเปื่อยเหมือนคนปกติทั่วไป จึงนิมนต์ร่างท่านมาบรรจุในโลงแก้ว ณ วัดคุณารามแห่งนี้….
  
      หลังจากเข้าวัดไหว้พระ เพื่อสิริมงคล และความสบายใจแล้ว จุดหมายต่อไปของเราคือ “หินตา หินยาย” ที่ตั้งอยู่บริเวณหาดละไม ระหว่างทางเราสะดุดตา กับ ร้าน Zer Studio ในห้องแถวไม้ เก่าแก่ เป็นร้านเสื้อผ้า กระเป๋า และเครื่องประดับ hand made สีสันเหมาะที่จะเป็นแฟชั่นบนเกาะสมุยเป็นย่างยิ่ง ร้านนี้อยู่บริเวณบ้านหัวถนน ใครที่ผ่านลองแวะลงไปชม ไปซื้อกันนะค่ะ… >_<
   
      เมื่อเรามาถึงบริเวณ จุดชมวิวหาดละไม ซึ้งเป็นที่ตั้งของ หินตา หินยาย  หินที่มีรูปร่างคล้ายอวัยวะเพศชาย และเพศหญิง มีตำนานเล่าว่า นานมาแล้วมีตายายคู่หนึ่งชื่อตาเครงกับยายเรียม เป็นชาวปากพนัง จ.นครศรีธรรมราช เดินทางโดยเรือใบเพื่อไปสู่ขอลูกสาวของตาหม่องลายที่ จ. ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ให้แก่ลูกชาย ครั้นเรือแล่นมาถึงแหลมละไม เกิดพายุใหญ่ทำให้เรือล่ม ทั้งตาและยายได้อธิษฐานว่าขอให้เกิดเป็นสัญลักษณ์ให้ตาหม่องลายได้ทราบว่าตามาหาแล้ว มิได้ผิดคำสัญญาแต่ประการใด ดังนั้นเมื่อตาและยายเสียชีวิต คลื่นได้ซัดร่างมาเกยชายหาด กลายมาเป็นหินตาและหินยายจนถึงปัจจุบัน…. o_O

วัดศรีโพธิ์ชัยแสงภา จ.เลย เป็นอีก 1สถานที่ๆน่าสนใจ สวยงามสมคำบอกเล่า ควรค่าแก่การไปเยียมเยือน

in his element: ‘world gypsy’ Eric Lon enjoys a dip while climbing in the Himalayas.

At the age of 18, he became a swimming instructor in Var, a district in Provence, the ever-popular holiday destination which is blessed with a sun-kissed coastline, the salt-water lagoons and marshes of the Camargue with their plethora of birds and other species of wildlife, and the lush, green mountains of the Maritime Alps along the border with Italy. Today, with the benefit of hindsight, Lon says that his first job taught him a lot about perseverance.

Although his hometown is only a three-hour drive from the nearest mountains, he said his neighbours were better acquainted with the pleasures of the beach and that when he was a child mountaineering was frowned on as a dangerous activity. It wasn’t until he was doing his compulsory military service that Lon got his first chance to do some climbing. “I was totally smitten by the mountains the moment I set my eyes on them,” he recalled, speaking in his charming, heavily accented English. “I’d always been the sporty type, so skiing came naturally to me. I enjoy sports that are physically demanding.”

Not long after leaving the army Lon decided to become a mountain guide. He managed to acquire the necessary certification, but from then on nothing went according to plan. To his chagrin, many of his fellow guides didn’t appreciate his “outgoing nature”, as he put it, and found ways to make his life miserable.

So, to cut a long story short, he ended up as a physiotherapist with a successful private practice, the career he walked away from a decade ago to go mountaineering in Nepal, Tibet and India.

What impelled you to take this daring step?

Well, I was 49 and I’d always had this passion for travelling to exotic countries and I didn’t want to have to wait for retirement to fulfil it. I was afraid if I waited until the ripe old age of 65 to start travelling that I wouldn’t have the energy to indulge in all the things I most enjoyed doing. I wanted every day to be an adventure! So I closed up my office and set off to live out my dreams with the money I’d managed to save up.

Before that I used to take holidays abroad at least three times a year but over the past decade I’ve visited 21 countries, covering Africa and the [Indian] Subcontinent. While most people my age are thinking of how they’ll spend their retirement, I’m planning to start working full time as a mountain guide when I turn 60. Nowadays I consider myself something of a ‘world gypsy’ - a citizen of the world! I prefer staying longer in countries which have pleasant natural surroundings; mountains are, of course, still a big draw for me.

How have you managed to support yourself for so long?

By living a simple, frugal life. I eat cheaply and pick guesthouses and hotels with the lowest prices. I’d readily change rooms on the same day that I’d checked into a place if I found a cheaper place on the other side of the road! It’s also important for me to travel light; I compare myself to a snail which carries its house on its back!

What’s the best thing that’s happened to you during the course of your travels?

I’d have to say it was the time I adopted a young Nepalese man as my spiritual son. He was working as a porter in a railway station in New Delhi when I first met him. As he was already 19, I wasn’t able to legally adopt him under French law. But we began to travel together as we both share a passion for the mountains and spirituality. He’s into yoga and meditation like myself. [Along the way, Lon had picked up hatha yoga, long practised by yogis in the Himalayan region.] Today. he’s working in Nepal as a mountain guide.

You’ve also written two books …

Yes, Challenges on Ski and From the French Alps to the Himalayas. They tell readers about my personal experiences with mountaineering and skiing - and how both have changed my life - and are written from the perspective of an instructor. I strongly feel that these books teach people to believe in doing the impossible!

Were there any memorable episodes during your days as a physio?

As I’m a keen sportsman I’ve always encouraged my patients to play sports. My biggest highlight would have to be the time I took a 70-year-old female patient of mine skiing on the dunes in the Sahara Desert in Algeria. I got the idea of taking her on a surprise trip to these, the biggest sand dunes in the world, when she confided in me that in her younger days she’d visited the Sahara and had fallen in love with the dunes and the scenic landscape, but that with her chronic arthritis she felt that she’d probably never get the chance to go skiing on the dunes there. So I devised a plan with a group of my friends to help her fulfil her dream … without her prior knowledge, of course! I managed to coax her into travelling with us to the Sahara and when she was standing there, looking down at the dunes, I brought out a pair of skies and told her to just go for it! At first she was taken aback, but then she relented when she noticed that a local television channel had come along to cover the event. It was lovely to see her grin when she’d successfully navigated the course. She flashed me a victory sign when she reached the bottom.

South Korea’s Incheon International Airport won the Best Airports Worldwide category for the fourth straight year. Twelve international airports were considered.

The ACI also ranked Suvarnabhumi as the 28th airport for service quality, climbing from the 41st spot in 2007. The ACI conducted a survey on service quality of 108 international airports, involving over 200,000 passengers worldwide.

The top three airports for best quality service were all from Asia - South Korea’s Incheon International airport, Singapore’s Changi airport and Hong Kong International airport.
 
Mr Serirat said Suvarnabhumi aims to be in the top 10 of the best airport service quality category this year by improving the venue’s atmosphere, cleanliness, facilities, services as well as passenger safety.

Bangkok’s international airport can handle more than 40 million passengers annually.

Chutharut Pornmuneesoonthorn won’t get a job as a hairdresser anytime soon. Her latest hair handiwork graces itself in contrast to the new cut of her decade long boyfriend Jakkapong “Song” Siririn, the bassist of Paradox known for his crazy stunts and cross-dressing costumes. The supposed-to-be-straight ear-length bob is lopsided, and looks like more of a zig zag than a line. Maybe it’s an intentional attempt to complement Jakkapong’s famed eccentric yet amicable behaviour, but, as bad as it might sound, the cut is definitely of street fashion material. He teases her about it, but is adamant she doesn’t change or fix it.

Not that Chutharut needs to attend a beauty school to become a hair stylist to mark her place in the world when she’s already been the toast of the photography community for quite some times now. Among the glittering sea of straight- and gay-male-dominated fashion photography world, Chutharut stands firmly, proudly and deservedly among the top of the top. She has been as much in demand as other household names, and her work can be spotted in high-end-magazine editorial shoots as well as hip fashion house catalogues from Sretsis to Greyhound.

Petite and laid back, Chutharut speaks at a slower pace with the slightest changes in tone and volume, but she cracks jokes with a deadpan face followed by a tiny smile. Set against the loud rambunctious world of clothes and bitchiness she inhabits, Chutharut, with a surprisingly reserved exterior and subdued manner, is somehow an oddball yin in the chaotic world of yang; a slower walker in the fast moving world, but equally as erratic, as you can see in her photos.

Her works are also of a peculiar nature as they call for further contemplation rather than force feeding their fashion message. Every picture with Chutharut’s stamp on it transpires to be awe-inspiring and thought provoking. That’s how Chutharut works her flowing magic - accidental beauty being captured through a keen eye and fine craftswomanship. Her works command attention and repeated viewings with their cool, collected subtleness combined with well-hidden edges and a shadowy sense of weirdness - the kinds of pictures that leave lasting impressions rather than instant but fleeting shock and awe; high fashion at its most creative. But don’t ask Chutharut to pigeonhole her style, for it will leave the pint-size lenswoman flabbergasted for a long while.
